A toddler is a child between the ages of 1-3. At this stage, toddlers are learning to communicate and show independence in their daily activities.

Four year olds are capable of experiencing a wide range of emotions such as joy, anger, sadness, fear, and excitement. They are able to understand concepts such as empathy and sympathy, as well as express their own emotional states.

4-year-olds should be able to recognize and name basic shapes including circles, squares, triangles, and rectangles. They should also be able to differentiate between shapes based on size, color, and orientation.

A 4-year-old should be exhibiting some independence, yet still need guidance and support from adults. They will be starting to express their emotions and gain an understanding of social situations and relationships.

A 4 year old can read in some cases, depending on the learning environment they have been provided, their aptitude level and the level of training they have received. Generally children in the 4-6 age range are able to acquire basic literacy skills such as recognising the alphabet and simple words.

A 4 year old is typically referred to as a preschooler or a pre-kindergartener. At this age, children are beginning their journey into formal schooling, learning the fundamentals of communication, language, and early academic concepts.

Giftedness is typically defined as an intellectual or creative ability that exceeds what is normally expected for individuals of a certain age. Gifted children often develop far more quickly than their peers and require specialized educational support to reach their full potential.

A highly gifted person may show signs of exceptional creativity, advanced logical reasoning, and/or a broad range of interests. They may also demonstrate a greater ability to rapidly acquire and internalize new information and to think abstractly.

Giftedness usually appears during early childhood, typically before the age of 10. Research indicates that most children demonstrate their greatest intellectual ability between the ages of 4 and 8.

Signs of a genius baby may include displaying advanced communication skills, displaying an early interest in growing topics, or displaying a heightened sense of curiosity and strong memory retention.
